🇬🇧 United Kingdom Visa from Nigeria: Requirements, Fees & Where to Apply

Official Fee£115 GBP (Standard Visitor, 6 months)
Processing Time3-6 weeks
Stay DurationUp to 6 months per entry
Where to apply in Nigeria
UK Visa Application Centres run by VFS Global in Lagos (Opebi Link Road, and Churchgate Plaza, Victoria Island) and Abuja (Churchgate Plaza, Central Business District).
Biometrics
Fingerprints and a photograph are taken at the visa application centre; you must attend in person.
What Nigerian applicants should know
- Apply online on GOV.UK first, then book the biometrics appointment at VFS.
- The £10 ETA advertised for visa-exempt nationals does not apply to you — if a website offers to sell you a UK ETA as a Nigerian, it is a scam.
Required documents
- Passport valid for duration of stay
- Detailed financial records & payslips
- Proof of ties to home country
- Accommodation itinerary
Consular advice: UKVI does not require prepaid air tickets prior to approval. Avoid unexplained lump-sum bank deposits.
